Hailing from Marseille, the oldest city in France, Bernard Arapoglou's nomadic spirit drove him to Paris to study hair at the elite Jean Louis David International. After intense training, Bernard relocated to Cannes, France to become the Creative Director for Carita Cannes House of Beauty. Here, he was able to apply his training and education, while continuing to shape his unique personality as a stylist.
Bernard began his career with Frederic Fekkai when he moved to New York in 2002, working as a stylist under Frederic's direction. Within two short years, Frederic took note of Bernard's passionate work ethic and appointed him Creative Director of the Palm Beach Salon to oversee its 2004 opening at the Brazilian Court Hotel.
Bernard's combination of education and training allow him to create a modern haircut full of personal expression. "By tapping into the needs of each client, Bernard translates each unique personality into an outward reflection" says Fekkai.
Celebrity clients who have gravitated toward his practice include Anna Wintour, Olivia Newton John, Jimmy Buffett and Tommy Lee Jones.
Bernard stays true to his inquisitive soul, inside and outside of work. When he is not styling hair or advising his Fekkai team, he is surfing, dirt-biking, skateboarding, or playing the guitar. He also finds solace in collecting vintage cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
