Fekkai Creative Director Tammy Sherman’s ultimate goal when seeing a client is to always enhance her natural beauty. Maintaining this philosophy throughout her craft, Tammy is committed to delivering a look to each client that is personalized and unique.
With over seventeen years of experience as a colorist, Sherman is a color expert and authority on balayage, a free-handed highlighting technique. Beginning her training with Jacques Dessange in Paris, Sherman soon found herself working at Fekkai in New York, where she has been for the last fourteen years of her career.
After working at the Fekkai Fifth Avenue Salon, Tammy’s following soon earned her a Creative Director title. Soon after, she was then asked to lead the team at the recently opened Fekkai Salon in The Mark Hotel. In addition to the creative vision she imparts upon the Fekkai colorist team, Tammy regularly trains the staff in new styling and coloring techniques.
With every client she sees Tammy is able to deliver rich, multi-tonal shades for a look that is natural and dimensional. While Sherman has a roster of notable and celebrity clientele, she approaches each client like a VIP, delivering the best possible results for their lifestyle and needs.
When Tammy is not servicing clients at the Frédéric Fekkai Salon at The Mark Hotel, she serves as a creative consultant for Wella Koleston. She was also a key member in the development of the Fekkai Salon Color kit that is sold at retail. As a valuable member of the Fekkai team, Tammy brings a unique vision to this exclusive clientele.
Tammy Sherman currently resides in New York City. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, art, reading and is a self professed shopaholic. Tammy continues to lend creative direction to the staff of the The Mark Salon.
